Capcom has announced Ōkami Sequel Project is in development.
Hideki Kamiya, director of the original Ōkami, returns as director for this new project, which is being co-developed among multiple studios that include various staff members of the original Ōkami, including M-TWO Inc., Machine Head Works Inc., and CLOVERS Inc., the last of which Hideki Kamiya is a member of.
Originally released in 2006 and set in a Japanese-style world, players took on the role of Amaterasu and embarked on an adventure to restore life to the land in the action-adventure game. An HD remake was also released in 2012.
