Annapurna Interactive just had a showcase giving players a glimpse of what to expect from the publisher and its developers this year. During the event, the company announced one of its critically acclaimed PS4 games is getting a free PS5 upgrade today at no additional cost.
Sayonara Wild Hearts gets a free PS5 upgrade today
Developed by Simogo, Sayonara Wild Hearts now gets a native PS5 port. Available today, the new PS5 upgrade includes updated 4K visuals, up to 120 frames per second for players that have a compatible display, and DualSense haptic feedback features. It also features an exclusive Remix Arcade game mode which lets users play through “endlessly replayable levels” as they chase high scores.
Specifically for owners of the PS4 version of Sayonara Wild Hearts, a PS5 upgrade is available for free as long as both platforms are linked to the same account. For new players, it costs $12.99 on the PS Store.
“As the heart of a young woman breaks, the balance of the universe is disturbed,” reads the game’s official description. “A diamond butterfly appears in her dreams and leads her through a highway in the sky, where she finds her other self: the masked biker called The Fool.”
“Journey through a custom-written pop soundtrack, chase scores, and set out to find the harmony of the universe, hidden away in the hearts of Little Death and her star-crossed allies: Dancing Devils, Howling Moons, Stereo Lovers and Hermit 64,” continues the description.
Alongside Sayonara Wild Hearts’ free PS5 upgrade, Annapurna Interactive announced some dates and release windows for three other games. Lushfoil Photography Sim launches on PS5 on April 15, allowing players to take pictures across different locations like South Tyrol, Italy, and South West Australia. To a T is the next game from Katamari Damacy creator Keita Takahashi, which releases on May 28 for PS5. Lastly, the single-player bicycle racing game Wheel World launches on PS5 this summer.
