The long-rumoured PS5 version of Bethesda Game Studios’ Starfield could turn up later this year alongside a second expansion, according to The Verge’s Tom Warren.
Speaking on the Xbox Two podcast, Warren stated that Starfield on PS5 was originally meant to be here already, but those plans fell through. “They were originally going to do it with that expansion, and then I don’t know what happened there,” he said. “They have been working on it for a while, so it should be ready.”
The theory now is that a PS5 version of the sci-fi epic could arrive alongside the second that Todd Howard confirmed is planned for Year 2 of the game.

Evidence that Starfield is coming to Sony’s current-generation console emerged earlier this month, when a PS5 logo was added to the game’s creations page. Prior to this, a report on Vandal claimed that Starfield was among a number of Xbox titles set to come to PS5, the others being Killer Instinct and Fable.
