There’s another game you should be keep an eye on as developments progress, and that’s Vigilante: A game that was not only released sometime back as a naff port to the Commodore Amiga, but thanks to Neeso Games however, is currently getting a much better port from the Sega Master System version via the Scorpion Engine to the Commodore Amiga! As in the words of the creator “This is my attempt to port Vigilante from Sega Master System to Amiga. Why Vigilante and why Master System? First of all Amiga already has a (poor) Vigilante arcade port, but I prefer the Master System version because it’s more colorful and has more personality, more NEESO style”.
Fast forward to today, and thanks to Saber letting us know through Facebook. We’ve been told a new demo has been made available of Vigilante with many new changes. These changes include, parallax scrolling to level 2, 3, 4 and 5, a lot of palette and sprites reworks, new implementation with the biker enemy which can be killed and the bike explodes, improved enemies AI, Smart nunchuck pickups (doesn’t spawn if you have it already) , Scrolling credits, and thanks for playing screen, and finally various optimizations and bugfixes.
