Sony has announced the lineup of free PS Plus games for January 2025.
Members on PS5 will be able to pick up Suicide Squad: Kill the Justice League. Featuring an original narrative set in the DC universe, the game takes place in an open-world Metropolis. The story follows Suicide Squad members Harley Quinn, Deadshot, Captain Boomerang and King Shark who must take on an impossible mission to save Earth and kill the world’s greatest DC Super Heroes, The Justice League.
On PS4, subscribers will get a free download of Need for Speed Hot Pursuit Remastered. Hot Pursuit goes back to the Need for Speed series’ roots and, as the names suggest, takes on the gameplay style of earlier “Hot Pursuit”-titles in the Need for Speed franchise with exotic cars and high-speed police chases. It lets the player play as either a cop, or a racer and will feature a full career mode for both roles. Hot Pursuit also features a new social interaction system called Need for Speed Autolog.
Lastly, both PS4 and PS5 subscribers can get a copy of The Stanley Parable: Ultra Deluxe, an expanded re-imagining of the indie game The Stanley Parable from 2013. In addition, the game has been visually upgraded to reflect modern technology while preserving the tone of the original game. Accessibility features have also been added to the game, including localization of in-world text, colorblind options, and content warnings.
These titles will be available to PlayStation Plus members on January 7 until February 3.
