A lot of what was shown during the February 2025 State Of Play had a release date attached to it, but only one of the games shown was shadow-dropped, and is available for players to check out on PS5 and PS4 right now.
Warriors: Abyss from developer Koei Tecmo was revealed, and then released by the end of the trailer. Abyss is the latest entry into the Warriors franchise, though it’s not exactly like its counterparts.
Warriors: Abyss combines the 1vs1,000 gameplay fans expect from the franchise with rougelite elements, like randomly generated stages, and of course randomly generated upgrades and abilities that can make or break a run.
You can check out the reveal trailer for Warriors: Abyss for yourself, below.
A key point that Koei Tecmo highlights is that the replayability in Abyss is really next level, because there’s an incredible 16 billion possible combinations you can create between the 100 unique characters you can choose to play as.
