Further evidence that a remake of The Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion could be on the horizon has emerged after Steam has started removing trailers and other media related to the game. Naturally, this suggests a formal reveal for The Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion remake is imminent.
As spotted by X user javaTheHuttese and re-posted by Detective Seeds, the media was removed only yesterday, indicating Bethesda is gearing up for a reveal. It doesn’t make sense why all this content would be scrubbed from Steam unless something pretty big is in the pipeline, and we’ve been hearing whispers about an Oblivion remaster for a while now,
Originally it was reported in January 2025 that Virtuos was working on an unannounced remake using Unreal Engine 5, which was widely assumed to be Oblivion. Not long after, new details on the project surfaced that revealed the remastered title would feature a major revamp of key mechanics and HUD, and backed up previous claims of it using UE5.

More recently, leaker NateTheHate and VGC claimed that The Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion Remake would be announced very soon, possibly in the next few weeks ahead of a launch as early as this month, but no later than June 2025. Nothing official has been announced yet, so keep that in mind.
The Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion was originally released for PC and Xbox 360 in 2006, and rolled out for PS3 the following year. Unlike its successor, Skyrim, Oblivion has never been remastered and re-released for other generations of hardware.
